New Residency- DwellPoint
Collaborative Artist Space
February 19th- to Present
Located at 530 Q street in Downtown Sacramento, CA
A new opportunity to make work. A warm welcome from Dwellpoint, and new adventure in making work. Now equipped with full time access to maker space and a studio that can accommodate ideas; a new body of work is to emerge. Ember’s Forge now rests in the Downtown area of Sacramento, ending a long period of being a “traveling sculptor” who had to go where ever the wind carried while the pandemic took its hold on creative endeavors and the art world a-like. Looking forward to a few months of pursuit of bigger and better dreams for fine art pieces, public art, and even generating a new project coming soon!

Come Join Project 25 Gallery in celebrating a successful and enjoyable 3 month Residency!
For the last two weeks of Ember’s artist residency we will be displaying a new piece of work, in a temporary installation. In the progression of a new body of work, with a continuation of the medium of broken glass, this will be the first work from the new series to go on display.
If you would like to see the art, and interact with the artist, Saturdays from 3-6 pm Ember will be in the gallery to interact and speak about the work.
Happy Valentines, Cheers to February, and New Art Ventures!

“Project 25 is a brand new art gallery and artist workspace in the heart of Midtown Sacramento providing an affordable and collaborative opportunity for emerging artists to create and showcase their talents. Project 25 acts as a catalyst for collaboration, providing a platform for mentorship with established local artists, and increases visibility through public and private events offering the community the chance to support rising Sacramento talent.”
Currently showing a handful of smaller works in the main gallery and getting ready to move into a residency spot among 5 other great artists! Excited for this new venture and looking forward to stepping into the new year with a new venture. There is new work coming to the gallery, can’t wait to share the journey with you!
Please feel free to come by Jazz Alley and 25th Street to see the work and get out of the house! Have to give credit to Raphael Delgado, who is the owner of the large painting behind my work (right). Really delighted to spend more time around his work, it really has an aura. Also, you can check out the link below to check out the shop, Art makes a great present for the holidays. Here is a blurb from the website about our mission as a community of artists!

When the Covid-19 pandemic hit in March 2020, Sacramento State art students were suddenly faced with losing studio space, access to tools to and workspace, and more importantly access to face-to-face critiques. Suddenly, artists were forced to reevaluate their workspace at home, or reassess the materials they had been using prior to the school shut-down. This has been a struggle for many art students, as their creativity was placed on a seemingly never-ending pause. “Isolated Intentions” is meant to showcase these struggles, and how this selected group of artists (made up of current undergraduates and graduates) found ways to reframe and re-contextualize their works and methods, and finally breakthrough the desolation and creative inactivity and regain their well-intentioned pursuits as artists.
